3. Definitions

  • Customer due diligence CDD: Verifying identity and assessing risk of a customer or creator.

  • Enhanced due diligence EDD: Additional checks for higher risk customers or transactions.

  • Suspicious activity report SAR: A report submitted to the relevant authorities when money laundering or other illicit activity is suspected.

  • PEP: Politically exposed person.

  • AML Officer: The person designated by carrielachance.com responsible for AML compliance.

4. Roles and Responsibilities

6. Customer Due Diligence

  • Basic CDD for all creators and merchant accounts: Collect name, contact information, date of birth or business registration, payment details for payouts, tax or W9/W8 equivalent where required. Verify email and phone.

  • Identity verification for creators and partners: Government issued photo ID, selfie verification, business registration documents for entities, and proof of payout banking/receiving account.

  • Threshold based escalation: For creators receiving payouts over [example threshold: $3,000 cumulative or $1,000 per month] or unusual transaction patterns, perform EDD. Thresholds must be adjusted based on risk assessment and acquiring bank requirements.

  • Sanctions and PEP screening: Screen creators, customers, and beneficial owners against sanctions lists and PEP lists at onboarding and periodically thereafter.

7. Enhanced Due Diligence

EDD will be applied for:

    2. Collect all relevant documentation, including transaction logs, communications, KYC files, and payment processor records.

    3. AML Officer performs a formal review and determines whether a SAR is required.
